This uber fancy daughter of Golden Gate was bred by Silverhorne exclusively for the purpose of remaining in the breeding program to extend the life of the Goldfasan/Wendekreis blood carried by her mother. Daphne’s dam, EM Golden Gate, is one of our Foundation Mares and 1998 Ultimate Sporthorse Champion.
Elite Eligible after her mare inspection, Daphne was given high scores for conformation and type. Her sire is the lovely Donnerhall son Domiro. She is the ultimate hunter type, with daisy cutter movement and pretty enough to model on the line.
Her soft, easy jump is an amateur’s dream, both fluid and elegant, and she exhibits hack winner movement. Daphne’s foals have lovely conformation with well set, long elegant necks, beautiful faces and typically exhibit lovely hunter style movement. Her 2009 colt Speedo is a very strong example of how well she crosses with Sir Caletto.

EM Golden Gate was bred to the Glenwood Farms imported Donnerhall son, Domiro as a refining influence. We liked the Pik Ramiro on the damside and the result has been an excellent addition to the breeding program. The result are lovely hunter style movers and we look to Sir Caletto to ensure jump in this particular cross. Donnerhall is the most successful dressage horse in the world and looks back on an exemplary career. He managed like no other sire of his generation to combine success in breeding and in sport alike.

In 1998 he was once more included in the German world championship team and with Karin Rehbein was a member of the gold medal team in Rome, where he attained fourth place in the individual results. Donnerhall won the World Cup European League, as well as being the Oldenburg dressage stallion of the year in 1997 and 1998 respectively.
At the end of 1998 he farewelled himself from competition sport. “fresh as a daisy” at seventeen years of age and was frenetically applauded at all stages of his farewell tour.
